Industry Blogs I Like To Read

A few people have recently asked what seo/sem/affiliate marketing blogs I keep up with. I actually spend my time reading quite a few. One needs to bare in mind there are hundreds and maybe even thousands out there, a few good, many extremely average, but here goes.

For pure seo related stuff, you can beat the Seomoz Blog and SEOBook. I’ve know Rand for a few years as we both started posting at SEOchat.com around the same time. I doubt Rand remembers much as we only corresponded occasionally, but he was always very open and receptive. In a industry where many people just don’t bother replying, he always did, and his insight was always appreciated. In fact, it’s rare you’ll find someone willing to share so much info and methods used to help clients rank. All the same can be said for Aaron Wall of seobook.com, and then some. I actually know about 90% of all seo related postings I read, but Aaron often times amazes me with his intellectual and analytical view of seo. I whole heartedly would recommend his seo ebook to anyone who wants to learn seo.

Some other seo blogs worth reading:

http://www.jimboykin.com/ - Good, solid info. Lays it out for you as it is with no sugar coating and realizes the mistakes most seos make.

As far as affiliate marketing blogs, you find few people more willing to divulge juicy tidbits of info then shoemoney does on his blog. Deemed as the Ring Tone King for his ability to once take 5 cents a turn it into a $10 conversion, he made a killing online capitalizing on ring tones.

There are other great blogs, like jensense, pepperjam, mattcutts.com and this list goes on. I don’t read those as often (though I probably should). At this rate, i’ll likely spend a day a week just keeping up with industry blogs.
